We are seeking an energetic and service-driven Customer Service & Leasing Representative to support the lease-up and ongoing operations of our residential rental communities in Edmonton. As the first point of contact for prospective and current tenants, you will showcase our suites, guide applicants through the leasing process, and deliver best-in-class service that strengthens tenant satisfaction and retention. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct suite showings and property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting suite features, building amenities, and the surrounding community.
- Support the lease-up of new and existing properties by responding promptly to rental inquiries, qualifying applicants, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Provide exceptional, best-in-class customer service to current tenants, responding to questions, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Champion tenant retention by building strong tenant relationships, following up on tenant experience, and supporting community engagement initiatives.
- Participate in the lease renewal process, including preparing renewal offers, communicating with tenants regarding renewal terms, and tracking renewal status.
- Assist with rent collection, including monitoring outstanding balances, issuing reminders and notices, and following up with tenants in accordance with company policy and the Residential Tenancies Act (Alberta).
- Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, leases, renewals, and tenant communications in property management software.
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including suite inspections and documentation.
- Keep show suites, leasing areas, and common areas presentation-ready at all times.
- Support marketing efforts, including updating rental listings and reporting on traffic, leasing activity, and market feedback.
- Liaise with the property management and maintenance teams to ensure tenant issues are resolved efficiently.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Area Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in property management, residential leasing, or a related customer-facing role.
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and building positive tenant or client relationships.
- Working knowledge of Yardi property management software is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act (Alberta) and standard leasing practices is an asset.
- Strong sales and closing skills, with the ability to convert inquiries and showings into signed leases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Professional appearance and demeanor; a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work the scheduled Tuesday to Saturday work week, 10 AM 6:30 PM.
- A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation is an asset, as travel between properties may be required.
