Job Details:
Walk into our office and you'll immediately feel the difference. High energy, passionate people, and a shared drive to do things better than anyone else set the tone. But what really makes LFX Group special is something a lot of companies talk about, and few actually pull off: we've built a real family.
Every person on our team has a sense of purpose and belonging. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned pro, there's a place here to grow - and we mean that. No matter your background or skill set, we've made a commitment:
“Everyone belongs here.”
Our core values aren't framed on a wall - they're how we actually operate: Family. Respect. Integrity. Passion. Teamwork.
This Isn't a Box-Checking HR JobWe're not looking for someone who hides behind policy manuals or treats people like headcount. We want a culture-builder. A connector. Someone who walks into a room and makes people feel seen - then turns around and builds the systems that make a company truly great.
You'll be a key player on our Culture & Talent team, working closely alongside our Director of HR to cover everything from recruitment and onboarding to health & safety and the hard conversations nobody else wants to have. You'll bring experience, initiative, and zero ego to everything you do.
If the words “HR department” make you think of stiff policies and locked doors, this isn't the role for you. But if you believe HR done right changes lives - read on.
What You'll Actually DoYou'll support a broad scope of HR functions alongside the Director of HR - with the experience to hit the ground running and the drive to make a real difference. Here's what your days will look like:
People & Culture
- Champion our culture and be the go-to person our team members actually want to talk to
- Lead recruitment and selection - find people who don't just fill seats, but elevate the team
- Coordinate onboarding that genuinely excites new hires from day one
- Dream up and run culture-driving activities, events, and team-building moments that people actually look forward to
- Be a trusted, confidential resource for team members navigating personal or workplace challenges
Performance & Employee Relations
- Lead difficult conversations - performance issues, conflicts, policy violations - with professionalism and genuine care
- Guide managers on how to support their teams while upholding company standards
- Address complaints and grievances fairly, making sure every voice is heard
- Maintain accurate records of sensitive discussions, corrective actions, and terminations in line with provincial and federal labour laws
- Prepare documentation for disciplinary actions and terminations that are thorough, compliant, and human
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Sit on the Joint Health and Safety Committee and actually drive it forward
- Ensure all operational and safety training is completed for new and existing team members
- Manage WSIB claims from start to finish - no dropped balls
- Keep the company on the right side of every labour law, always
You might not check every single box - and that's okay. But here's what we're looking for in our ideal person:
- 2–4 years of HR experience and you've loved every minute of it
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in HR, Business, or something that gave you the foundation to thrive
- CHRP designation or actively working toward it (big bonus)
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety - you know this stuff matters
- The energy of someone who runs toward a challenge, not away from it
- A natural connector - people trust you quickly and for good reason
- Sharp organizational skills and attention to detail that borders on obsessive (we mean that as a compliment)
- A skilled facilitator who can navigate conflict and come out the other side with relationships intact
- Someone who can hold confidential information like a vault while still being warm and approachable
- A strategic thinker who also loves rolling up their sleeves and getting things done
- Real ownership of your work - you'll bring your expertise and hit the ground running alongside a director who values your input
- A team that pushes each other to grow and genuinely celebrates wins together
- A company that embraces the uncomfortable and keeps getting better because of it
- Leaders who actually listen - your ideas will land, not disappear into a void
- The chance to build something meaningful within a fast-growing company
Think you're the one? We'd love to hear from you.
