Counterbalance and Reach truck with Clamp attachment experience
Days:Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm
Friday 7:00am-1:00pm)
Afternoons: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-1:00am
Fridays – 1:30pm- 8:30pm
Rate:$24.00-$24.50/hr
Location: 401 & Hurontario
Start Date: ASAP
Lift truck experience
- 2 years experience operating lift truck with box clamp attachment an asset
- Must be Counterbalance and Raymond reach certified
- Operated lift truck that uses natural gas as its fuel source and is familiar with refueling process
- Possess a valid lift truck operator license and is able to produce test results from a reputable training school.
Safety
- Has participated on a company sponsored safety committee
- Provide proof of receiving any safety awards
- Must pass pre-screening test. Familiar with the safety aspects associated with the loading and unloading of trailers
Work experience
- Familiar with how basic locator systems work
- Strong background in bulk order picking using lift trucks with clamp attachments
- Familiar with picking and shipping requirements of Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us and Sears.
- Able to maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Able to project a professional and mature attitude using: body language, verbal communication and emotional intelligence.
- Able to clearly communicate their expectations for this job assignment

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator demonstrates a high level of verbal and written communication skills in communicating with internal and external customers. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is an effective team player who has the ability to work independently and accept accountability to ensure all material is shipped, received and entered accurately. He/she is able to adapt quickly to change, handle multiple projects, willing to accept new responsibilities, work in a fast paced environment and adjust plans to meet deadlines and changing needs. A thoroughness and attention to details are extremely important in this role.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for accurately shipping and receiving material for all departments
· Verifies all incoming shipments for correct waybill information and visible damage.
· Communicates and follows up on discrepancies with suppliers. Communicates with internal customers, team members and all relevant parties to ensure shipping related problems are resolved
· Ensures that incoming material is processed, recorded in Visual Manufacturing, and forwarded to appropriate storage area(s).
· Organizes, distributes and verifies parts and material for all departments.
· Prepares and processes merchandise to be returned to suppliers or delivered to customers. Coordinates best method of transport and ensures shipping documents are complete.
· Trains new hires on proper procedures
· Prepares activity report to supervisor regarding the operations of the area. Ensures all relevant files are maintained and organized.
· Uses various equipment such as a Counterbalance and Raymond Reach forklift, computers, bar coder, printer, photocopier, fax machine and calculator to perform duties
· Complies with all company health & safety policies. Has a safety first philosophy
· Other duties as assigned, relevant to specific position
