Job Details:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouseman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management of customer products while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Putaway
- Unload inbound trailers and containers safely.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately receive inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assign and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Order Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure products are shipped according to customer requirements.
- Apply labels and shipping documentation as required.
- Load outbound trucks safely and efficiently.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Perform lot number and expiry date tracking where applicable.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
Compliance & Quality
- Follow all warehouse SOPs, safety procedures, and quality programs.
- Support traceability and product tracking requirements.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
- Follow sanitation, pest control, and contamination prevention procedures.
- Assist with compliance requirements related to CFIA regulations and FeedAssure standards.
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections.
- Report equipment issues or maintenance requirements promptly.
General Warehouse Duties
- Assist with warehouse organization and housekeeping.
- Support container unloading and loading activities.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and attendance.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred
- Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, feed, or food industries.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) such as Acumatica.
- Knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving procedures.
