ABOUT DIBAC HOME SUPPORT
Dibac Home Support is a licensed Temporary Help Agency providing personal care, household support, postpartum care, and in-home childcare to families across the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region. We are a small, professional agency where every worker matters. You will be supported, respected, and treated as the skilled professional you are.
THE ROLE
As a Personal Support Worker with Dibac, you will be placed with clients in their homes across the KWC region. You will provide personal care and support that allows clients to live safely, comfortably, and independently. Every placement is guided by a detailed care plan, and you will have a dedicated coordinating contact at Dibac for scheduling, support, and any concerns.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and continence care
· Support clients with mobility, transfers, and repositioning as outlined in the care plan
· Prepare meals and support clients with eating and hydration
· Provide verbal medication reminders as outlined in the care plan (PSW scope only — no medication administration)
· Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and household tasks
· Provide companionship, meaningful conversation, and social engagement
· Support clients living with dementia, cognitive impairment, or complex care needs within PSW scope
· Document visits accurately and report changes in client condition to your coordinating contact
· Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the Dibac team
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required
· Personal Support Worker certificate from an approved Ontario college or vocational program
· Current vulnerable sector police record check (within 36 months)
· Current CPR and First Aid certification (Level C or equivalent)
· Immunization records meeting Dibac's requirements, including TB screening
· Legally eligible to work in Canada
· Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations in KWC
Preferred
· Minimum 1 year of experience in a home care, long-term care, or hospital setting
· Experience supporting clients with dementia, palliative care, or complex personal care needs
· Second language is an asset (French, Punjabi, Mandarin, Arabic, and others welcomed)
· Comfortable with direct, hands-on personal care
