Driver Manager / Driver Trainer (Flatbed)

About the Role

We are looking for someone who has been in the seat and understands the job. If you have a background in flatbed driving, know your way around straps and chains, and have hands-on driver training experience, this could be a great fit. This is a hands-on role working directly with drivers every day. It is about supporting drivers, training them properly, and building a team that runs safe and runs well.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work directly with drivers day to day, not from behind a desk.
• Train drivers on load securement, safety, and ELDs.
• Help onboard new drivers and set clear expectations from day one.
• Check in with drivers regularly and make sure they are set up for success.
• Step in when issues come up and handle tough conversations the right way.
• Review camera events and walk through situations with drivers.
• Follow up on incidents and focus on learning, not just discipline.
• Be a strong link between drivers and management.

What You Bring

• Valid AZ License with real flatbed experience.
• Practical experience as a driver trainer.
• Strong understanding of strapping, chaining, and securement.
• Solid knowledge of HOS, safety regulations, and ELDs.
• Good communication skills and the ability to earn driver trust.
• Calm under pressure and able to de-escalate situations.
