This position location is in Palmerston, Ontario, subordinated to the Injection Engineering Manager. The focus and main responsibility of this position are related to process planning, and long and medium-term capacity planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- For new models work on the quotation process, responsible for process plan generation and control, and coordination with the technical departments involved (Injection Eng., Paint Eng. and TPS).
- Responsible for updating the process plan following engineering changes (ECI), internal change requests, and for cost planning stages.
- Responsible for maintaining the capacity planning file, based on long- and medium-term customer volume information.
- Work on improving current and future injection machine and paint booth load balance, develop and present capacity scenarios, with assistance from injection and paint engineering.
- Develop and maintain quotation standards for process plans, working together with other Technical departments.
- Raw material development control, work with TGNA Purchasing, Materials Engineering and with relevant internal departments to develop and procure new resin and paint.
- Study usage of special materials in assembly, such as dry grease, glue, or pad print ink, update the process plans accordingly, and develop quotations standards for these materials.
- Perform audits of process plans vs actual situation on the floor and the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software used by TG (JDE). Create the BOM and routing in JDE for new models.
- As part of the technical team, participate to kaizen activities.
- Assist the Technical departments for new model development activities, starting from quotations stage.
- Occasional travel may be required, typically to the US.
- For performing the duties above, it is necessary to be able to read and interpret drawings and other design documents. Having this ability is considered an asset, but we can also train as necessary.

Education or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university with engineering specialization, preferably Chemical Engineering; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years in the automotive industry.
- Experience working with injection, paint and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset, but is not necessary.
