Junior Estimator

Full job description

My client is an aggressive and rapidly growing contracting firm located in Tillsonburg. We focus on design/build, project management and bid/build projects in the industrial, commercial and institutional business sectors. The position of Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator is currently available.

This position will entail assisting the estimating department and project management department with small to large commercial/industrial/institutional projects across Southwestern Ontario. This will include preparation of bid packages, quantity takeoff, attending site visits, organizing subcontractors, review of shop drawings, recording of meeting minutes, contract administration, working with clients and subcontractors.

A competitive wage based on experience and ability will be negotiated.

The successful candidate will possess sound interpersonal skills, a practical/technical mindset and a willingness to learn. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Bluebeam, Outlook) will be required. Strong organizational skills, methodical thinking and attention to detail and a familiarity with MS Project are essential assets as well. Experience in the field is considered an asset. Post secondary education in construction will be an asset as well. Wage will vary based on the level of relevant education, experience and assets of the candidate.
