Position Summary

We are seeking aShear and Press Brake Operatorto join our Manufacturing team. This role is essential to shaping and assembling metal components for our HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with metalworking machinery, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Hours of Work

Full-time, 4pm - 1:30 am Monday to Thursday 4pm- 12:30am Friday
44-hour work week
Occasional overtime available

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret specifications and blueprints
Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, and shape metal stock into parts or products
Operate press brake, shear, notcher, plasma machine, and other metalworking equipment
Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
Handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
Maintain attention to detail and manual dexterity during extended periods of standing and physical activity

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Grade 12 education or equivalent
HVAC shop experience preferred
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
Forklift and crane experience (asset)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Mechanically inclined and physically fit
Proven ability to meet project deadlines under pressure
Flexible to work overtime
