Job Title: Finance Operations Analyst
Job Description

The Finance Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. This includes leading month-end close activities, designing key metrics for management, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Additionally, the role involves financial and tax reporting responsibilities as well as system management duties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including vendor management and the end-to-end AP process.
  • Oversee subscriber billing, collections, cash application, and aging analysis reporting for accounts receivable.
  • Lead month-end close activities for AP and AR, ensuring accurate expense accruals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Design and monitor key metrics for the management team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls to mitigate fraud and ensure timely reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations and accruals related to AP/AR and cash management.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Perform analytics on operational expenses to provide insights to management.
  • Support external audit requests by preparing necessary schedules and working papers.
  • Oversee preparation, filing, and remittance of all indirect tax returns.
  • Serve as an ERP system super user for AP modules, assist with system implementation and upgrades.
  • Evaluate current workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement automated solutions.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for updated system processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of finance operations experience covering AP, AR, and tax returns with at least two to three years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, Oracle, and specialized automation tools.
  • Experience in leading or participating in major system implementations, data migrations, and workflow overhauls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in cash management, vendor management, and internal controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with tools that increase efficiency, such as Alteryx and MS Access.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective change management capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with vendors.
Work Environment

This role involves working closely with core Accounting, Finance, and Operations groups. The position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting with a dotted line to other Finance and Accounting groups. The standard work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 35 hours per week. The role offers a hybrid work environment with two days in the office per week, including a mandatory team day on Wednesday. The second office day is flexible, depending on team preferences.
