The Opportunity:

Scope of the position

Responsible for owning the sales → demand → operations translation process and establishing a structured Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) capability. This role ensures alignment between sales forecasts, financial plans, and inventory execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across product categories, regions, and channels
  • Translate sales plans into SKU-level demand forecasts and operational requirements
  • Lead monthly S&OP / demand review process across Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Analyze historical sales data, trends, and demand drivers to improve forecast accuracy
  • Monitor forecast vs. actual performance and drive corrective actions
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to align demand plans with business objectives
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and operations to ensure demand is executable
  • Optimize inventory levels, service levels, and working capital performance
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to demand variability and supply constraints
  • Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, tools, and data quality
  • Establish and track KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, inventory turns, service levels)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or sales planning
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Experience with planning tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel modelling
  • Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)

About us:

The target salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 CAD per annum. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
