Cabinetry and Custom Millwork Builder

Our well established custom millwork/cabinet shop in Aldergrove is looking for an experienced cabinet maker to join our team. This individual should be self-motivated, honest, reliable and a dedicated team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Go over jobs with Product Engineer and clarify details for custom specialty parts and cabinets and note any exceptions to standard practices
• Interpret drawings and produce a list of custom parts and cabinet pieces that need to be built
• Produce custom parts and cabinets using a wide range of materials as well as woodworking machinery and small hand tools
• Sort and organize cabinet parts to send to the finishing department
• Assist in an assortment of shop duties, CNC operation, edge-banding, loading/shipping cabinets for installers, final assembling cabinets, etc.
• Receive, sort and distribute shop deliveries as needed
• Assist on job sites with cabinet delivery and install as needed
• Other duties throughout the shop or install as needed
• Keep work area and materials storage area organized

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the cabinet making industry
• Ability to make specialty custom complex millwork parts and pieces for cabinetry
• Competency with wood-working tools such as small hand and power tools, chop saw, table saw, panel saw, edge bander and other large woodworking machinery
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/32 of an inch
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and measurements
• Efficient in reading and communicating fluently in English
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs
• Willing to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Able to adapt well to changes, pivot when needed and multi-task
• Able to prioritize and be aware of timelines
• Commitment to safety guidelines and policies

We offer:
(A long weekend every weekend) 4 day work week - Monday to Thursday – 7:00 am to 5:30pm

Starting wage – $26 - $29 / potential increase dependent on experience

After 3 month probation period - employees offered a competitive and full Benefits package
