SUMMARY OF POSITION
In this replacement position, the Document Control Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's documentation and records to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves processing, filing, and archiving documents, as well as maintaining version control and ensuring that all documents are up-to-date and properly labeled. The Document Control Coordinator will also facilitate document distribution, support audits, and collaborate with various departments to ensure proper documentation practices. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with document management systems are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in document control and a commitment to maintaining efficient and accurate record-keeping processes.
This On-site position is based on a 40 hour per week schedule typically Monday through Friday but could flex based on business schedule. Salary range is $55,000-$65,000.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Maintains MRP system.
- Controls manufacturing plans and their revisions; obtains customer approvals
- Maintains customer drawings and controls revisions.
- Issues and maintains drawings for PO's.
- Maintains customer specifications and revisions; administers customer specification review system.
- Logs rework tags and controls Engineering rework schemes.
- Process change requests (PCR's).
- Manages and maintains the technical database system.
- Maintains Engineering Archives and files.
- Working with auditor and customers/suppliers.
- Adherence at all times to Company policies and procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Attends daily Engineering department startup meetings as required.
- CI/Lean manufacturing initiatives as appropriate.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Post secondary education in Quality or Engineering is considered an asset.
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar document control position in a similar work environment.
SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills.
- Familiar with AS9100 and audit requirements.
- Experience with SAP considered and asset.
- Knowledge of GD&T considered and asset.
- Understands the importance of all departments having the most current document revision levels.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a positive and professional manner adhering to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
