Jr. Systems Administrator
Location: Onsite — Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: $55,000 - $62,500 annually
Employment: Full-Time
Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager

Integrity, Genuine Relationships, Teamwork, Respect, Partnership, Community Position Summary The Junior Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting and maintainingour clients IT infrastructure across both plant and office environments. This position provides Level 1-2 technical support, ensures system reliability and security, and contributes to ongoing IT improvements. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and eager to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced IT team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide Level 1-2 support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to PCs, servers, mobile devices, and connectivity
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Assist users across both technical and non-technical environments
Systems & Cloud Administration
  • Support and administer Office 365, Exchange Online, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Assist in maintaining ERP systems and internal IT tools
  • Help create and maintain scripts and automation for service improvement
Infrastructure & Network Support
  • Maintain LAN/WAN networks, switches, and wireless infrastructure
  • Support VMware ESXi/vSphere environments and associated Veeam backups and recovery
  • Monitor critical infrastructure alerts using Veeam One and Meraki Dashboard
  • Assist with SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage systems
  • Perform regular system backups and support disaster recovery procedures
Service Desk & Operations
  • Respond to and triage helpdesk tickets (e.g., Jira)
  • Maintain technical documentation in Confluence or equivalent platforms
  • Manage asset inventory and RMM tools
  • Collaborate within an agile, service-driven IT environment
Security & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce IT security best practices
  • Monitor infrastructure alerts and address vulnerabilities
  • Ensure endpoint compliance with organizational standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP)
  • Exposure to Azure AD / Entra ID and cloud environments
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) is an asset
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki, VMware ESXi/vSphere, and Veeam is preferred
  • Understanding of SAN/NAS storage systems is an asset
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
