- Joining Bonus: This position offers a $ 1000 joining bonus paid three months after the joining date.
- Typical working hours: Monday to Friday – Day shift only. Early morning start.
- Safely operate or assist in the operation of a 40-ton rough terrain crane within a 50-acre yard.
- Move, position, and load trucks according to daily schedules and operational requirements.
- Ensure all rigging activities are conducted safely and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with ground crews, customers, contractors, and team members.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, lift plans, inspection records, and job documentation as required.
- Use radios, hand signals, and other approved communication methods to coordinate safe and efficient load movements.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, fluid checks, and minor repairs on crane equipment.
- Assist with or perform pick-and-carry operations in accordance with manufacturer specifications, training level, and company procedures.
- Conduct pre-operational and post-operational equipment inspections and report any deficiencies.
- Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Red Seal Crane Operator Certification is considered an asset.
- Valid crane operator certification and applicable licenses.
- Experience operating rough terrain cranes, preferably 40-ton capacity or greater.
- Strong knowledge of crane load charts, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures.
- Registered Crane Operator Apprentice or willingness to register as an apprentice.
- Previous experience in construction, transportation, heavy equipment, rigging, or a related field is an asset but not required.
