Our Calgary boutique clinic provides a warm, supportive, and welcoming environment where clients can work through challenges related to trauma, anxiety, relationships, betrayal, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm with the support of a compassionate and highly trained clinical team.

Our practice has a strong focus on trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. We are passionate about helping clients create meaningful, lasting change while fostering a supportive, collegial environment for our clinicians.

We are currently seeking Registered Psychologists to join our growing team on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, flexibility, ongoing professional growth, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, trauma-informed practice.

Role Overview

As a contract clinician, you will build and manage a caseload aligned with your clinical interests and areas of expertise while benefiting from administrative and peer support.

Our clinic serves individuals, couples, teens, families, and children, with a particular focus on:

  • Trauma and attachment-based therapy
  • EMDR therapy
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy
  • Relationship recovery and affair recovery work
  • Anxiety, emotional regulation, and stress-related concerns

Clinicians with advanced training or a strong interest in EMDR and couples therapy are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments and provide ongoing psychotherapy services.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, teen, and/or child therapy based on your scope of practice and interests.
  • Maintain accurate, ethical, and timely clinical documentation.
  • Deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care.
  • Participate in occasional peer consultation and team support meetings.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff regarding scheduling, billing, and client care coordination.
  • Maintain active professional registration and professional liability insurance.

Qualifications

  • Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, eligible to provide counselling services in Alberta.
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field. RMFT designation is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong trauma-informed clinical skills.
  • Training in couples therapy and relationship work is considered highly valuable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in The Gottman Institute Method Couples Therapy (Level 2 or higher preferred).
  • Training in EMDR International Association-approved EMDR therapy strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with trauma, attachment injuries, trauma, or couples is considered an asset.
  • Interest in integrating EMDR, attachment-focused approaches, and couples therapy is welcome.
  • Must carry professional liability insurance.
