The Auto Technician Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs within a small team environment. This position requires expertise in vehicle diagnostics, engine, transmission, front end and alignments and brake systems and more. The use of advanced diagnostic tools to ensure safety and performance. Occasional direct communication with customers is expected to provide updates and clarify service needs. Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic software and manufacturer-specific tools
- Perform engine repairs and brake maintenance, front end repairs, alignments and more on passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and parts replacement
- Maintain and repair electrical systems
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct test drives to verify repairs and performance
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in auto mechanics
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in mechanical duties
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostic tools
