Journeyperson Electrician - Solar Installer Crew Lead

Location: Edmonton, AB (projects throughout Alberta)

As a Solar Installer Crew Lead, you'll lead installs from setup to commissioning while setting the tone for safety, quality, and customer care. You're the on-site face of Pro West, guiding your crew, solving problems fast, and making sure every homeowner feels confident about what's happening on their roof.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead residential (and occasional commercial) solar installations, ensuring quality and schedule alignment
  • Plan daily workflow, adapt to site conditions, and troubleshoot technical issues quickly
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience: clear explanations, respectful presence, clean job sites
  • Coordinate with internal teams to keep projects on track and documentation complete
  • Maintain a "zero incidents" safety mindset and enforce safe work practices
  • Contribute to a team-first culture and help develop crew members

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (preferred/required for lead-level scope)
  • Comfortable working at heights (deal-breaker)
  • Valid driver's license + clean driver's abstract
  • Strong communication skills (crew + clients)
  • Safety tickets (Fall Protection, CSTS/WHMIS; First Aid preferred)
  • Solar install experience and/or product training (asset, not always required)

Pay and Benefits

  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent employee
  • Pay: CA$40 to CA$45 per hour (based on experience/fit)
