Position Summary
The Scrum Master supports Agile delivery teams by facilitating Scrum practices, improving team effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with senior Scrum Masters, this role helps ensure successful project delivery while fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and psychologically safe team environment.Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Scrum Master in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Coach team members in problem-solving and Agile best practices.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements; help implement changes across teams and stakeholders.
- Act as a servant-leader to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, schedules, and deliverables.
- Track and report on project status, metrics, and progress against goals.
- Assist Product Owners with release planning and maintaining sprint and product backlogs.
- Foster a safe, trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Align team delivery with broader organizational and business goals.
- Support the development of Agile capabilities by coaching new Scrum Masters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve blockers and ensure smooth delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 35+ years of experience in Agile environments or project coordination roles.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience facilitating team ceremonies and supporting Agile delivery teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I/II, or equivalent Agile certification
- Additional Agile/Project Management certifications (e.g., SAFe, PMP) are an asset
