Upholsterer / Custom Interior Specialist

Stuckey's Upholstery is seeking a skilled and motivated Upholsterer / Custom Interior Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working directly with customers, and has the creativity and technical skills to bring custom projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to discuss project requirements, design ideas, material selections, and project expectations.
  • Create and execute custom upholstery designs for boats, automobiles, and furniture.
  • Recover and repair boat tops, marine seating, and other marine upholstery components.
  • Repair, restore, and reupholster residential and commercial furniture.
  • Install and repair automotive interiors, including seats, headliners, carpets, door panels, and trim.
  • Recover and install convertible tops on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Develop accurate patterns from scratch for custom and one-of-a-kind projects.
  • Measure, cut, sew, and assemble upholstery materials to precise specifications.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven upholstery experience in marine, automotive, and furniture applications. (pictures must be submitted)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and provide creative solutions for custom projects.
  • Experience creating patterns from scratch and modifying existing designs.
  • Knowledge of upholstery materials, fabrics, vinyls, foam, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
