Account Manager
Our client is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow key homebuilder relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities in the Edmonton market. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the residential construction industry, a proven sales track record, and the ability to deliver value through both technical knowledge and relationship-based selling. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, and confident in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of homebuilder accounts
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with builders, site supervisors, and purchasing teams
  • Maintain regular communication to track project pipelines and upcoming opportunities
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth
  • Identify and secure new homebuilder accounts within the Edmonton market
  • Actively prospect and develop new business in the residential construction industry
  • Increase market share through strategic outreach and relationship building
  • Leverage industry connections to generate consistent sales opportunities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications
  • Perform material take-offs and support accurate quoting and project packages
  • Work closely with estimating, design, and operations teams to deliver solutions
  • Promote and sell building materials and engineered construction systems
  • Help clients find efficient, cost-effective building solutions
Your strengths include:
  • Proven experience working with homebuilders or within the residential construction industry (required)
  • Strong track record in account management and new business development
  • Established network within the Edmonton homebuilding or construction market (strong asset)
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term, trust-based client relationships
  • Experience reading construction drawings and performing material take-offs (asset)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong “hunter” sales mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and driving results with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering value to clients
