Great Events Catering is looking for a reliable, motivated, and passionate Prep / Line Cook to join our growing culinary team. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing quality food, and thrives as part of a professional kitchen team.

As one of Calgary's leading catering companies, we prepare and execute a wide variety of events, from corporate functions and weddings to large-scale festivals and special events.

Position: Prep / Line Cook
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
• Perform vegetable, meat, and other food preparation tasks.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Cook and prepare menu items according to company standards and recipes.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food products.
• Assist with banquet, catering, and event food production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and event preparation when required.
• Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and service teams to ensure successful event execution.

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or similar culinary position.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset.
