Lead Engineering Excellence in Industrial Textile Operations (Full-Time Exempt Position)
Ready to drive operational excellence while building high-performing teams? We're seeking a dynamic Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations at our premier industrial textile facility in Alberta.
You'll oversee complex industrial processing equipment, develop preventative maintenance strategies, and mentor skilled engineering professionals. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, directly impacting our facility's success through innovative problem-solving and operational optimization.
What You'll Accomplish
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and develop a skilled engineering team through hands-on mentorship
- Design comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability
- Partner with production and service teams to optimize plant-wide operations
- Manage strategic spare parts inventory while controlling costs
Technical Excellence
- Master complex systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and boilers
- Troubleshoot sophisticated electrical systems and 3-phase 230V configurations
- Program and maintain PLCs for optimal equipment performance
- Ensure rigorous safety standards and regulatory compliance
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years maintenance engineering experience with industrial machinery
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly 3-phase systems
- PLC programming proficiency with real-world application
- Experience in welding, carpentry, boiler systems, and facility maintenance
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Work Environment
You'll work in a dynamic industrial laundry facility with modern equipment and safety systems. The role involves both office-based planning and hands-on work in production areas. Physical demands include lifting up to 60 pounds, operating forklifts, and working with equipment weighing up to 500 pounds. Occasional travel may be required for parts procurement or training opportunities.

- $100,000-110,000 base salary
