About the Company: A world leader in the design, build, and development of large high-pressure die cast tooling, serving powertrain, body, and structural component customers globally.

Description: The candidate is responsible for hand and draw polishing steel inserts used in die-cast and plastic injection tooling, finishing surfaces to various specifications. Work involves close attention to detail and the ability to bring H13 and similar tool steels to required finish standards on cavity inserts, slides, and other tooling components.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience polishing die cast and/or plastic injection mould inserts
• Proficiency in draw polishing steel inserts to a range of surface finishes (e.g., SPI / VDI / mirror finish standards)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret tooling drawings and finish specifications
• Good communication skills
• Note: General automotive body work or production-setting part clean-up experience is not a fit for this role

Schedule:

• Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Occasional night shifts may be required during time-sensitive projects requiring round-the-clock attention; this is infrequent

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
