Falcon Contracting Ltd. is a locally owned and operated heavy civil construction company serving Northern BC. We are currently seeking motivated, safety-conscious Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) to join our growing team.Responsibilities
- Direct and control traffic through work zones.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices.
- Ensure the safe movement of workers, equipment, and the public.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, workers, and other TCPs using verbal instructions, hand signals, or radios.
- Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Follow company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Must have a valid TCP Certification
- Must have a Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Must have previous traffic control experience
- Training that follows the latest edition of the Traffic Management Manual (TMM), including traffic control responsibilities, device standards, layout requirements, and safe work practices.
- Knowledge of the 2020 TMM fundamentals.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
- Strong situational awareness and judgment.
- Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and travel as required.
- First Aid certification is considered an asset.
