310J Trailer Mechanic

We are currently seeking an experienced 310J Trailer Mechanic to join a well-established Trailer maintenance shop in Dundas, Ontario. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of commercial trailers, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and road-ready.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial trailers.
  
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMs).
  
• Repair and maintain air brake systems, air lines, suspensions, wheel ends, lighting systems and structural damage.
  
• Conduct structural repairs including welding and fabrication as required.
  
• Perform trailer body repairs, flooring repairs, door repairs, and landing gear maintenance.
  
• Complete MTO safety inspections and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
  
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed.
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  

Qualifications

• Valid 310J Trailer Technician certification.
  
• Minimum 3 years of trailer repair experience preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of air brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, and trailer structures.
  
• Welding and fabrication experience considered a strong asset.
  
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of trailer makes and models (dry vans, flat bed, and reefers).
  
• Own tools required.
  
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment check which includes a Criminal Record Check.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule
Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Overtime available
