Job Title: Intermediate Hydrogeologist

Location: Kingston, ON (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 base salary, depending on experience, with additional bonus and benefits.

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established environmental and engineering consultancy seeking an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join their multidisciplinary team in Eastern Ontario.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across land development, municipal, and environmental sectors, with a strong focus on groundwater investigations and private servicing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in both technical project delivery and project coordination, while continuing to develop their skills within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead hydrogeological investigations and studies
  • Conduct and coordinate field programs, including drilling, monitoring well installation, groundwater and surface water sampling, and pump testing
  • Contribute to projects related to private servicing (D-5-4 / D-5-5), PTTW applications, and land development
  • Participate in Phase I and II ESAs and site remediation projects
  • Interpret hydrogeological data and assist in developing conceptual site models
  • Prepare and review technical reports and documentation
  • Assist with project coordination, including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with clients and subcontractors
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
  • Support proposal preparation and contribute to business development activities where appropriate

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–8+ years of experience in hydrogeology or environmental consulting
  • Experience with groundwater investigations and fieldwork
  • Familiarity with Ontario regulations (e.g., D-5-4 / D-5-5, PTTW, ESA processes)
  • Strong technical writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional designation (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) or working towards registration
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
