Service Technician

Summary:
The Hoskin Service Team supports a wide range of equipment covering the environmental, geotechnical, and instrumentation markets. Based in our Coquitlam office, your main duties will include working on various equipment,effectively troubleshooting equipment independently, quoting/following up with customers, and being a goodrepresentative of the companys service efforts. Providing top-notch customer service and a positive attitude are essential.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Work safely and in alignment with all health & safety regulations.
• Be knowledgeable on multiple Hoskin products. (Internal and factory training will be provided.)
• Manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and ina timelyfashion.
• Quote repairs, lead times, and terms to all customers and scheduletimelyfollow-up.
• Communicate electronically and/or via phone with Hoskins customers and manufacturersto help troubleshoot customers devices.
• Support all product Electrical Inspections
• Be a reliable service resource for external and internal customers
• Support to the Rental dept as directed by management
• Work with our CRM program and related systems to capture customer information andservice activity.
• Seek new service opportunities and develop leads from our website, customer emails &phone inquiries.
• Efforts arerequiredtomaintainexisting business and seek new business
• Work isgenerally basedin our Coquitlam location. Some travel to customers and trainingwill berequired.
• Support other offices in peak periods and for vacation and sick coverage
• Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts
• Other duties as required by Hoskin management.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Office/Lab environment and physical presence from Monday toFriday at our Coquitlamlocation.

Education / Experience:

• A post-secondary education in electrical or electronics technician/technologist
• strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics
• possess avid knowledge of using power and hand tools and exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills
• Three to four years of industry-related disciplines
