You MUST have +5 years of tobacco machinery experience to apply! We are seeking an experienced and strategic Factory Manager to oversee the operations of our tobacco manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This leadership role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and ERP systems to optimize plant performance and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities within the facility, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Oversee daily operations, including assembly lines, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
- Utilize systems, and tools to plan, monitor, and control production schedules and inventory levels.
- Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and delivery of finished products.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold product standards and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop strategic solutions.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment to oversee maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of more than 5 years in tobacco manufacturing management.
- Strong knowledge of systems, processes, and supply chain management.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement techniques such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with quality control standards specific to manufacturing environments.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
