About the Opportunity

RhynoCare is seeking an Environmental Service Manager (ESM) to work in Long Term Care facilities in London, ON. You will be hired and onboarded with RhynoCare as an Independent Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee functions, including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, to ensure a clean, and safe Long-Term Care residence.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate departmental operations to meet regulatory, safety, infection prevention, and organizational standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, supervise, and coach Environmental Services staff; monitor performance as needed.
  • Develop and manage routine and preventative maintenance programs, including inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Oversee daily operation of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and security.
  • Ensure the building, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and external grounds are maintained and in sanitary condition.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and sourcing through approved suppliers; ensure adequate staffing, resources and support.
  • Coordinate work orders and communicate maintenance and repair needs to corporate or project management teams.
  • Manage vendor contracts and ensure external service providers meet compliance, safety, and documentation requirements.
  • Support fire safety, emergency protocols, infection control, waste management, and pest control programs.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance inspections
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to support resident safety and comfort.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution (College or University)
  • Must be fluent in speaking and documenting in English.
  • Hands on Experience with property maintenance and cleaning
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care Centre is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively as a leader/supervisor of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills

Compensation

  • Pay: $25 - 30/ hour (depending on experience and assignment)
