Mechanical Technician - Installations Service Repair

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, inspecting, and testing trailer tarp systems and related mechanical assemblies. This is a hands-on shop and field-support role for a person who can work safely around trailers, frames, tarps, rolling systems, fasteners, locks, tensioning mechanisms, hydraulic/electric components, and customer equipment. The technician must be able to read work instructions, follow build standards, complete quality checks, record labour and repair notes accurately, and communicate concerns before defects or delays reach the customer. Install new trailer tarp systems and related mechanical components correctly the first time. Repair, adjust, and service existing tarp systems, rolling structures, locks, tracks, rollers, bows, tarps, panels, and hardware. Diagnose mechanical fit, alignment, tensioning, wear, damage, missing parts, and customer-use issues. Complete safe, clean, and professional work that protects customer trailers and LCS workmanship standards. Support production, service, parts, shipping, and customer service teams with accurate repair notes and completion updates.
