Job Description:

This role is responsible for sourcing materials and vendor pricing during the bid phase, ensuring alignment with project scope, specifications,

and regulatory requirements. A strong understanding of commercial procurement practices, municipal project requirements, and vendor capabilities is critical to mitigating risk and delivering competitive bids.

Job Responsibilities:

Bid Support

• Source vendor pricing for electrical, mechanical, and process equipment
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope
• Evaluate supplier quotes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Identify risks, gaps, and cost drivers early in the bid process

Commercial Knowledge

• Provide insight on market pricing, lead times, and supply constraints
• Understand contract structures (lump sum, unit rate, EPC/turnkey)
• Ensure alignment with project specifications and client requirements
• Support value engineering through alternative materials or suppliers

Supplier Management

• Issue RFQs and obtain competitive vendor pricing
• Engage suppliers to confirm specifications, availability, and timelines
• Maintain strong relationships across key equipment categories

Collaboration & Execution

• Work closely with estimating, engineering, and project teams
• Support bid clarifications and reviews
• Assist with handover of procurement strategy to execution teams

Process & Compliance

• Maintain organized bid documentation and pricing records
• Track historical pricing and supplier performance
• Ensure alignment with company policies and bid requirements

Standards & Safety

• Follow company Code of Conduct and core values
• Adhere to health & safety policies and regulatory requirements

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
