POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our Service team. This role plays a critical part in testing, commissioning, and servicing custom HVAC systems both in-house and at client sites across North America. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting expertise, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mindset.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday (44-hour average work week)
- Occasional weekend work and extended hours during travel (up to 12 hours/day)
- No on-call requirements
- Frequent travel within Canada and the US
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment
- Start-up and commission HVAC systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and components
- Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge systems as required
- Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Perform pressure testing on piping and tubing joints
- Train customers, apprentices, and site technicians on system operation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Journeyman Refrigeration Technician (or equivalent)
- Alberta Gasfitter A or B Ticket (asset)
- Alberta Electrician Ticket (asset)
- Valid drivers license with clean abstract
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and background checks
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team
