We are currently seeking a professional and motivated Sales Representative to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting the venue's event and hospitality services. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, results-driven, and experienced in sales, hospitality, or event services.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development :
Identify and develop new business opportunities and event bookings
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and private clients
Conduct venue tours, client meetings, and sales presentations
Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts
Follow up on inquiries and maintain a high level of customer service
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth event execution
Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets
Maintain accurate client and sales records
Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales, hospitality, event venues, or customer service preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Professional and client-focused approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/booking systems
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
Market & Industry Awareness :
Stay informed about hospitality, event, and wedding industry trends
Monitor competitor venues, pricing, and market activities
Provide feedback to management regarding client preferences and business opportunities
Maintain awareness of current event trends and customer expectations to support venue growth
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with event, operations, and administrative teams to ensure smooth client service and event execution
Maintain accurate sales records, booking details, and customer information
Prepare regular sales activity and performance reports for management
Follow up on leads, inquiries, and client communications in a timely and professional manner
Compliance & Professional Conduct
Conduct all sales activities in accordance with company policies and professional standards
Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Represent Mississauga Convention Centre in a professional, courteous, and ethical manner
Working Conditions:
• Field-based role with regular travel
• Flexible hours to meet customer and business needs
• Combination of office, customer site visits, and remote work
Compensation & Incentives:
• Base salary plus commission
• Performance based incentive
