About the Role
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects across Canada and internationally, supporting initiatives in mining, hydropower, and water infrastructure. This role offers a mix of technical design, field involvement, and leadership, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical components of projects (scope, budget, schedule)
- Plan, oversee, and interpret site investigations and laboratory testing
- Perform and review analyses (slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, liquefaction)
- Design foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and ground improvement solutions
- Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and recommendations
- Identify geotechnical risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Support construction through site visits, reviews, and technical guidance
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Participate in client interactions and proposal support
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering (Master's in Geotechnical Engineering is an asset)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong background in geotechnical design and project delivery
- Experience with:
- Site investigations and reporting
- Foundation design and analysis
- Earthworks, dams, or embankments
- Tailings or water management systems
- Construction monitoring and project coordination
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
