We are hiring a Millwright Mechanic for a full-time, permanent opportunity in a food manufacturing and extrusion facility in Mississauga. Job Description Installing, aligning and commissioning extrusion lines and related equipment Working with feeders, conveyors, dryers, coaters, packaging equipment and plant machinery Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues Supporting equipment startups, changeovers and new facility commissioning Working with production supervisors and operators to reduce downtime Maintaining maintenance logs, work orders and parts inventory records Identifying equipment upgrades and process improvements Following GMP, health and safety, and regulatory requirements Qualifications 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification required 3 to 5 years of experience in food manufacturing, extrusion or plastics preferred Experience with extruders, conveyors, pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems Strong understanding of gearboxes, bearings, couplings and drive systems Electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset PLC and VFD knowledge is an asset Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Forklift certification or willingness to obtain Accommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
