We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Automotive Sales Consultant to join our fast-paced Toronto team. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder with a proven track record in pre-owned vehicle sales. While not strictly required, a background or strong familiarity with automotive financing, subprime lending, and credit structures is a massive asset. We want an advisor who can guide a customer seamlessly through the showroom floor and comfortably speak to the financial solutions that get them the keys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales: Guide customers through the entire car-buying journey with energy and transparency, from greeting them in our indoor showroom to final vehicle delivery.
- Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs, lifestyle requirements, and budgets to recommend the perfect vehicle from our 250+ vehicle inventory.
- Financing Liaison (Preferred Asset): Work seamlessly with our finance department to pre-qualify buyers, structure deals according to their credit profiles (prime and subprime), and explain payment solutions clearly.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various makes, models, vehicle histories (CARFAX), and changing automotive market trends in the GTA.
- Pipeline Management: Actively follow up with leads, manage a customer CRM database, and maintain communication to ensure long-term retention and referrals.
- Uphold Our Culture: Bring a positive, professional attitude daily, reflecting Autorama's commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction and community care.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of proven success in automotive sales (pre-owned experience is highly preferred).
The "Plus" Factor: Prior experience as a Financial Services Manager (F&I), or a sales representative with a strong history of handling/structuring credit applications and auto loans, will move your resume to the top of the pile.
Licensing: Valid OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council) license is required.
Credentials: A valid Ontario G Driver's License with a clean abstract.
Communication: Elite interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently handle negotiations and complex financial conversations with empathy and clarity.
Proactive Lead Generation: Ability to actively build and manage your own pipeline by generating independent leads through creative prospecting, utilizing social media platforms, Facebook Marketplace, and local digital networking to bring buyers directly to you.
Availability: Flexible schedule to accommodate dealership hours (including evenings and weekends).
