Position: Forklift Operator / Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Our client is a leading warehouse and distribution operation located in Brampton, Ontario, near Steeles Avenue E. They specialize in handling a variety of products with a focus on efficiency, safety, and service excellence. The facility is modern, well-organized, and prioritizes workplace safety and compliance.
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join the team on two shifts: 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM start times. Candidates must be prepared to attend on-site testing and interviews, with immediate availability upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Reach Trucks, Dockstockers, Walkies, and/or Order Picker forklifts
• Perform receiving, order picking, shipping, inventory control, and cycle counts
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to support operations
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strict safety protocols
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and service-level targets
• Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and work at heights (Order Picker)
• Participate in cycle counts, move pallets, and maintain a clean warehouse environment
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety standards

Requirements:

• Valid forklift certification (Reach Trucks required; Dockstocker, Counterbalance, and/or Walkie preferred)
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant forklift experience (required if under work permit)
• Experience with RF-based WMS systems (e.g., Red Prairie)
• Secondary school diploma preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work safely at heights
• Safety-conscious and aware of MHE protocols and facility security procedures

Schedule & Compensation:

• Start times: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work from 6am when needed
• Flexibility is required
• Hourly rate: $20/hour

Candidate Submission Requirements:

• Submit resume and forklift license
• Attend an on-site interview and complete forklift test
• Health & Safety 4 Steps Certificate and cleared background check required
• Must be available to start immediately after successful interview and testing

On-site Requirements:

• PPE: Safety vest and steel-toe boots
• Government-issued photo ID for site access
• Be prepared for security checks upon entry/exit
