Position Summary
Soluroc is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focusedIndustrial Sandblaster to join our Sudbury team. This role is responsible for preparing metal surfaces through abrasive blasting processes to ensure components meet company and customer quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting) to clean and prepare metal surfaces
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met
- Operate and maintain sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Identify and report equipment issues or quality concerns
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial sandblasting (preferred)
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physically capable of lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in industrial environments
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing protective gear
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
