As our new Site Supervisor/Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing projects on-site from start to finish. You will supervise and lead a small team of CCR labourers and organize and coordinate other trades. Under your leadership, projects will be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and craftsmanship standards. Your responsibilities will include: * Supervising a team of 2-4 labourers and sub-trades on site * Reviewing job plans, documents, and checklists pre-construction * Creating project and labour schedules and ordering materials for jobs * Conducting job site inspections * Ensuring safety equipment is available on site, labourers and trades are wearing their personal protective equipment at all times, and maintaining clean and safe work conditions * Building per drawing and project plan specifications * Communicating with customers about job site issues and answering their questions * Updating and submitting daily logs about project progress * Providing regular progress updates to production manager and project coordinator * Conducting final walk-throughs with customers and production manager Working with CCR Building and Remodeling We're a friendly, family-oriented team. Qualifications * 5+ years carpentry experience, with significant experience in the remodeling trades * Experience supervising renovation projects (creating schedules, organizing labour, on-site supervising including of sub-trades) and delivering projects on time, and on budget * Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and layouts * Basic computer skills (to work with our project software and for email communication) * Valid driver's license and good driving record * Basic carpentry tools (hand tools, skill saw, levels, squares, drills, hammer drill, nailers, ladders) * Completion of any of the following certifications/training is an asset: fall arrest, WHMIS, first aid * Red Seal Carpentry certification is a plus but not required We're looking for a responsible leader – someone with excellent attention to detail, who will take ownership of our projects, and who our customers can trust to do the right thing.
