We work on home renovations, new homes, cottage builds, commercial renovations, and a wide variety of projects in real cottage country. Custom Country Construction is hiring a Construction laborer to join our growing crew. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, is comfortable with physical, hands-on work in outdoor environments, and wants to learn the construction trade from the ground up. You will work alongside experienced carpenters on residential, cottage, commercial, renovation, and new build projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and crew members on active job sites
• Carry materials, tools, and supplies as needed
• Help with site prep, cleanup, demolition, framing, and basic carpentry tasks
• Follow directions from experienced tradespeople
• Work safely and respectfully around the crew, clients, and properties
• Learn new skills on the job and contribute to a productive team

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work hard
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors and on construction sites
• Able to take direction and work well with a crew
• Team player who respects the people around them
• Basic carpentry or construction experience is an asset, but not required
• A valid driver's licence is an asset

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, permanent work
• Pay: CA $20 - CA $30 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Overtime availability
• Tools provided or allowance
• Steady projects in Kenora and the Lake of the Woods region
