Position: Corporate Development Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite, 5 days/week)
About CSMC
CSMC is building Canadas next generation of advanced energy and aerospace technologies, including nuclear microreactors, quantum sensing systems, and deeptech hardware for nationalscale missions.
About the Role
The Corporate Development Analyst will support strategic planning, financial modelling, market analysis, and partnership development across CSMCs advanced energy and aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market, competitive, and policy analysis
- Build financial models and business cases for new initiatives
- Support strategic planning and corporate development activities
- Assist with investor materials, presentations, and internal strategy documents
- Track industry trends across nuclear, defence, and advanced technology sectors
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years in corporate development, consulting, finance, or strategy
- Strong analytical, modelling, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in energy, defence, aerospace, or governmentfacing industries
- Familiarity with funding programs, procurement, or technology commercialization
Employment Eligibility
CSMC works withhighly sensitivenuclear, defence, andaerospace relatedtechnologies. As a result, all CSMC positions require eligibility for federal security screening andexportcontrolcompliance. These requirements are considered Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFORs) under applicablehumanrightslegislation.
To be eligible for employment at CSMC, candidates must be able to meet ALL of the following criteria:
Current Legal Authorization to Work in Canada
- Currently legally authorized to work in Canada
- Able to maintain valid work authorization for the duration of employment
Government of Canada Security Screening
- Able to obtain and maintain Reliability Status or higher
- Able to provide at least 5 years of continuous, verifiable background history
- Willing to undergo identity, employment, education, and criminal background checks
Foreign Influence & Foreign Affiliation Risk Assessment (FIRA)
CSMC works with controlled nuclear anddefencetechnologies, and candidates must be eligible to undergo a Foreign Influence and Foreign Affiliation Risk Assessment, which may include review of:
- Foreign citizenship(s)
- Recent foreign residence
- Immediate family ties abroad
- Foreign financial, business, or government affiliations
Controlled Goods & ExportControl Eligibility
- Eligible to access Controlled Goods under the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
- Eligible to access exportcontrolled technical data under Canadian law
- Willing to undergo additional screening if required
OnSite Requirement
- Able to work onsite as required for access to secure and controlled workspaces.
