Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling and networking

• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support consistent revenue growth

• Promote transportation solutions including intermodal, truckload and specialized freight

• Conduct client meetings, discovery calls, and presentations to understand operational challenges and recommend customized logistics solutions

• Prepare proposals, pricing packages, and service agreements aligned with customer needs and business objectives

• Negotiate rates and long-term agreements while maintaining profitability targets

• Build and nurture long-term customer relationships through responsive service, strategic account management, and ongoing support

• Collaborate closely with dispatch, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery

• Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive offerings to uncover new business opportunities

• Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline updates, and forecasting within CRM platforms

What You Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of business development experience in transportation, logistics and freight brokerage

• Proven track record of securing new business.

• Strong background in business development and relationship-based selling

• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills

• Comfortable managing complex sales cycles, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations

• Strong understanding of freight operations, intermodal transportation, and supply chain processes

• Self-motivated, results-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
