The Opportunity:

We have partnered with one of Southwestern Ontario's leading general contractors to add a strong Project Coordinator (Heavy Civil) to their dynamic team. The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in the planning, execution and delivery of large infrastructure projects, while maintaining accurate documentation through the life-cycle of the venture.

This opportunity is ideal for an established Project Coordinator looking to work in a highly collaborative and innovative organization that empowers its people to make their mark from day one, while contributing to high-profile projects across Ontario.

What Your Day Looks Like:

  • Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, vendors as well as the entire team
  • Prepare regular progress reports
  • Prepare subcontracts, P.O's, change orders and site instructions
  • Participate in tender and contract preparation as well as partner with the Estimator to assemble bids, track inquiries and requests for pricing.
  • Maintain safety records and basic safety audits
  • Compile Close-out Checklist and Submission of Close-out documents, prepare Certificates of Completion and arrange for Certificates of Publication at the time of Close-out.
  • Participate in project meetings/prepare minutes.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct Project Coordinator experience, with a demonstrated track record of completing bridgework, roadwork and water/sewer projects.
  • Post Secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
  • Experience with project scheduling, document control, and project management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
