Security Guard

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Canada.

We are hiring a dependable Mobile Patrol Security Driver to conduct patrols across assigned locations, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing scheduled mobile patrols, attending alarm calls, conducting property inspections, and ensuring client sites remain secure. This position requires strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Pay Rate: $19.50

Shift Time: 23:00-07:00 & 07:00-15:00

• Conduct mobile security patrols at multiple assigned locations using company vehicle
• Perform interior and exterior patrol inspections to identify safety or security concerns
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and client service requests
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation
• Monitor properties for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or safety hazards
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and emergency services
• Assist with lockups, unlocks, and scheduled site checks
• Maintain patrol vehicle in clean and operational condition and report maintenance concerns
• Follow company procedures, site-specific instructions, and emergency protocols
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence

• Valid provincial Security Guard License
• Valid full G driver's licence (required)
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility
• Minimum 1 year security experience preferred
• Clean driving abstract and safe driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during incidents
• Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Outlook and report systems
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional

• Previous mobile patrol or driving security experience
• Knowledge of Ottawa area routes and locations in Ottawa
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
