Regional Controller
Our Calgary client has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and finance-minded Regional Controller to join their growing finance team. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in supporting both strategic decision-making and day-to-day financial operations across the Western Canadian region (AB & BC). Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing regional finance team across multiple sites
• Oversee month-end close and prepare accurate, timely financial reporting
• Partner with Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Prepare forecasts, analyze variances, and drive corrective actions
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP (ASPE)
• Manage audits, compliance reporting, and accounting policies/procedures
• Oversee AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and integrity of financial records
• Drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and support site operations across AB & BC (travel as needed)

Your strengths include:

• 10+ years' experience in financial reporting and analysis; CPA preferred
• Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage 50/300 preferred; QuickBooks and others an asset)
• Experience with system implementations/conversions and M&A integration
• Knowledge of complex accounting (acquisitions, consolidations, entity reporting) is an asset
• Industry experience in waste management/transportation and related software is an asset
• Strong communication skills, relationship-building ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities
