Job Description: Business Analyst CTH (Client Analytics & Databricks | Swaps, Derivatives, Reference Data) Toronto
We are seeking a Business Analyst (Contract-to-Hire) with strong experience in capital markets and financial analytics platforms. The role focuses on client analytics, data platforms (Databricks), and supporting derivatives and reference data processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and document business requirements for client analytics and capital markets data solutions
- Work with Databricks-based analytics platforms for data processing and insights
- Support analysis of swaps, derivatives, and reference data workflows
- Collaborate with data engineers, quants, and business stakeholders
- Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy of financial datasets
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Support UAT testing, data reconciliation, and issue resolution
- Develop process flows, documentation, and reporting for stakeholders
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets / investment banking
- Hands-on experience with client analytics and financial data platforms
- Knowledge of swaps, derivatives, and reference data
- Experience working with Databricks or similar big data platforms
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial instruments
- Experience with SQL and data analysis
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Experience in data warehousing and ETL processes
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
