Salary:
An annual stipend of $1,506.00, in accordance with Faculty Collective Agreement.
Description:
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Program Lead is a student-accessible content expert who is knowledgeable about the specific requirements and operations of the programs. The Program Lead assists the PRT with a variety of program-related matters. Course release time may be granted for special projects.
The Program Lead is responsible for:
- Evaluating student progress and reporting concerns or updates to the PRT
- Maintaining and monitoring the attendance control system
- Preparing course and instructor work schedules
- Coordinating the orientation and training of relief instructors
- Providing leadership to instructional staff and liaising with the PRT
- Notifying students of any supplemental evaluations required to successfully complete the program
- Instructing within the AMT program
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a current, regular employee of Northern Lights College.
- Minimum of three (3) years instructional experience at the post-secondary level in relevant programs.
- Demonstrable commitment to educational leadership.
- Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable excellence in team-building and consultative leadership.
- Completion of Provincial Instructors Diploma Program (PIDP), or equivalent. Or enrolled with expected completion within next 2 years.
