ABOUT KLIMATROL ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS

Klimatrol Environmental Systems is a trusted Canadian leader in innovative hydronic environmental control solutions. With decades of expertise, we specialize in hydronic snow melt systems and radiant in-floor heating/cooling, delivering safe, energy-efficient, and reliable performance for multitenant residential, commercial, high-rise, and industrial applications across the country.

Our growing installed base includes thousands of systems nationwide, and we are committed to exceptional product performance, technical innovation, and industry-leading customer support.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on National Service Manager to lead the transformation and scaling of our service operations. This high-impact leadership role will focus on building and deploying a professional truck-based field service team from the ground up to support our extensive installed base of snow melt and radiant in-floor systems.

You will also play a key role in developing and standardizing our national control strategy (leveraging platforms such as the Niagara Framework) to enable efficient, scalable, service-oriented support and long-term system reliability.

Reporting directly to the President, you will combine visionary service strategy with practical execution, technical depth in controls/hydronics, and team-building expertise to deliver world-class warranty and post-installation support across Canada.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & Service Model Development

· Starting in Ontario, design and execute a comprehensive service and warranty strategy aligned with rapid business growth and our large installed base

· Lead the creation and deployment of a truck-based mobile service fleet and technician network to provide responsive, high-quality field support

· Define service standards, KPIs (e.g., first-time fix rate, response time, customer satisfaction), and scalable operational frameworks

· Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost-effective service delivery

Field Operations & Truck-Based Service Build-Out

· Oversee all snow melt and radiant system service operations across Canada

· Build, equip, and manage a mobile field service organization, including truck outfitting, inventory management, dispatching, routing, and technician enablement

· Ensure timely, effective technical support for warranty claims, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs

· Implement service management tools and processes to support a growing truck-based team

Control Strategy Standardization & Technical Leadership

· Lead the development and standardization of Klimatrol's national control strategy for snow melt and radiant systems, with hands-on involvement in controls design, integration, commission, and serviceability

· Establish unified control architectures (strongly leveraging Niagara Framework expertise) to streamline troubleshooting, remote monitoring, upgrades, and field service efficiency

· Provide advanced technical support for construction team's complex system issues and collaborate with engineering on product/service enhancements.

Team Building & Development

· Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing national service team, including field technicians, support staff, and future leaders

· Develop training programs, certification pathways, and succession plans to build technical depth and service excellence

· Foster a culture of safety, accountability, customer focus, and continuous learning

Customer Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Champion best-in-class customer service and resolve escalated issues promptly

· Build strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and stakeholders

· Partner with engineering, sales, product, and installation teams to align service capabilities, incorporate field feedback into product/control improvements, and support sales with service value propositions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience

· 10+ years of progressive experience in field service leadership, including:

o Building or managing truck-based/mobile field service teams in facilities, HVAC/hydronic, building automation, fire/security systems, or similar technical industries

o Managing national or multi-regional technical service operations

· Proven success developing and executing service strategies, scaling teams, and improving operational metrics

· Demonstrated leadership managing and growing technical field teams

Technical Skills

· Strong hands-on technical foundation in controls systems, troubleshooting, and hydronic/HVAC applications

· Building automation experience, with strong Niagara Framework knowledge (hands on experience highly preferred)

· Familiarity with snow melt systems, radiant heating/cooling, hydronic controls, and related technologies

· Proficiency with service management software, dispatching tools, mobile workforce platforms, and remote diagnostics

Core Competencies

· Strategic vision with the ability to translate plans into executable operations and team structures

· Exceptional customer-centric mindset and problem-solving skills

· Strong business acumen, including P&L awareness and resource optimization

· Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

· Direct experience with hydronic snow melt or radiant in-floor heating systems

· Previous P&L responsibility or scaling a service organization in a growth-stage company

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Automation, Business, or a related technical field

· Hands on Controls experience and/or Niagara certification (Tridium or equivalent)

· Experience implementing standardized control strategies in distributed systems

WHAT WE OFFER

· Competitive Salary: Commensurate with experience

· Attractive Performance bonus: Tied to defined metrics

· Vehicle Allowance & Travel Support: For national responsibilities

· Growth Opportunities: Significant autonomy to shape and lead the national service function in a growing, innovative organization

· Meaningful Impact: Directly influence service excellence for thousands of installed systems and help build a best-in-class mobile service operation
