Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with customers and find loads for trucks to maintain monthly sales numbers. Respond to all e-mails in a timely fashion. Direct any e-mail / phone calls / faxes or PDF files to the correct department or person. Responsible for order entry, using a check list for accuracy. This includes pick up/delivery addresses, contacts at each location, PO/SO/Reference #s, using our checklist to be thorough and precise. Plan/dispatch trucks for all customer and dispatch the drivers with all the correct information. When necessary, dispatching contracts to carriers, with all/any special instructions once the rate has been agreed upon. When required, do data entry customs. Trace and track all the shipments through the day Resolving any issues regarding any order with the carrier or drivers brought. This may include any accessorial, delays or service problems. Finalizing any accessorial charges with the customer. Additionally, you will be crossed trained with another role. To handle all aspects of the company's operations from phone calls to dealing with drivers and carriers. Collect POD from carriers drivers within a reasonable amount of time. Add carrier packets and update profiles. Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have one year dispatch experience. If it 's in the flatbed industry which will be a plus.
